Important communication for transporters who are doing a part load or express booking

We have learnt that incidents of contraband goods being booked through parcel/express mode have increased on many sectors

Consignors are booking cargo with less than ₹ 50000 value to by pass e-way bill and paying freight on a paid basis to lure transporters

Members must ensure that their branches are taking necessary precautions before accepting any cargo from unknown or walk-in customers

KYC of consignor must be done like Aadhar card/PAN card copy must be kept for record purpose of such customers

Kindly forward to all transporters to bring awareness about this
